i wont ever give up my air rifle, but i doubt i will get one of these blowpipes either (lets face it, thats what they are)... how come i keep commenting on how crap PCP's are?? they are good if you are crap with a springer and want to enjoy shooting, however looking at some of them (like above) i wonder how much uglier they can get!! 899, more like 8.99!! Wouldn't even swap one for my Gamo!! You can adjust the power between 7ftlb and 12ftlb, the point of this?? To give you more shots before you find yourself on the end of a divers bottle

i must admit for a real shooting challenge the springer comes out on top the pcp would be hard to miss with so i guess you cant truly judge a mans shooting till you seen him with a springer lol, a comp where everyone uses the same guns the only true test lol be it pcp or springer. but guns evolve or the army would still be shooting 303's

it dont matter what you got be it springer or pcp, the way i look at it your rifle says alot about you the person that shoots it..and all the rubish about any one can hit anything with a pcp? i have seen that floop many a time and seen it on the bushy just gone ,i think what you spend on a rifle says it all about you to ; rush out and buy a cheap rabbit clubber = stinge that thinks hes got the gear but i say got no idear more like,,, spends 1000s because he can =well you got to much bloody money and a gun snob,,, some one that saves for that gun they wanted be it a couple 100 or a 1000= understander and very loyal to the sport ,cares and looks after his rifle but wants to get the job done...

i can say for my self there are more in the % of the cheap tat and high end snobs then there are the savers in this world ..

the fx verminator mk2 is a work of art and shows that we are moving with the times and not dweling in the 13th century, yeah the price is very high but you save the dosh for it then why not go out and buy it?,

You've got some good points there Stephen. I was chatting on another forum the other day to a bloke who has just spent over two grand on the new Daystate Grey Shadow
I don't know if he's got more money than sense but I say good luck to the guy, personally if I wanted a Verminator I would save for a second hand one, that's where the smart money is
PCP: BSA Superten, JB blueprinted with 4-16x50 MTC Mamba (for sale). Theoben Rapid7 Mk1.
Springer: HW77K, V.Mach tuned with NS Mountmaster 3-9x40AO.
    All tuned to perfection

Because it is Horrible!!! So you set a limit on what you think is reasonable for a rifel, myself would spend max 250 on a gun.... it does a job, anything more is a waste of time... especially when you have more important things like kids.... Some people are lucky enough to have had good jobs to "Save" but what about those who have nothing? Are they to be branded foolish for buying a mid range springer for a couple of hundred.... so as you said yourself mate, spend 1000's and you're a gun snob..... so this gun i have seen advertised for 930 on the web, after you have bought a divers bottle and other crap to go with it you are in gun snob territory!! (over 1000)

Thats why i usually compare guns to cars, the Gamo is like a mondeo, cheap, reliable and does the job you need it to... i spent 500 on mine (Mondeo), didn't have the funds for a Ferrari or Aston Martin and saving for one of those is out of the question
